WIX Templates

 

A Wix website template is a pre-designed layout and selection of design choices that alter the look and feel of a website. The template provides a framework for your website's design, including elements like fonts, colors, and page layout.

 

My templates do not modify the underlying functionality of a website, which is provided by Wix. Think of the template as the look and aesthetic feel of your site. If you have specific functionality or features in mind, you may need to add them through Wix's existing features or third-party integrations.

Template Installation

​

Your Wix template will always be delivered as a new website. Currently, Wix does not have the option to replace an existing website with a template that is transferred to your account.

​

Once purchased, I will transfer the new Wix website to your Wix account within 24 business hours. You will receive the transfer by means of email invitation from Wix.com to the provided email address yo use at checkout. You are responsible for providing the correct email address and I cannot be held responsible for any issues caused by wrongly submitted information.

 

Please note: You will have 3 days to accept the website transfer email before the invitation will expire. If the window of acceptance has closed, an additional fee may be incurred for the re-transfer of your website template to your account.

Installation does not include:

• Anything unrelated to the Template

• Revisions or Refinements

• Adding your content

• Search Engine Optimization

• Wix Tutorials

• Social Media Connection

• Migration of Any Kind (content, domains etc.)

• Domain Connection

• Integrations of any sort

• Graphic design services

• Copywriting or content creation

• E-commerce setup or configuration

• Payment gateway setup or configuration

• Email marketing setup or configuration

• Custom coding or development beyond the scope of the template

• Ongoing website maintenance or support

• More than 30 days of email support

What You Will Receive

​

You will receive the new website exactly as-is seen on the live demo. I do not provide support for custom code or customizations beyond the scope of the demo template. If you require additional customization or support, I am happy to provide a quote for my design services.

​

By purchasing my templates, you acknowledge that they are intended for DIY customization. It is your responsibility to add your content, text, images, and other brand elements to the template pages.

​

Transfer Timeline

​

I will always do my best to have your template transferred within 24 hours (Monday to Saturday, 10:00AM - 6:00PM, GMT). The 24 hours does not include the day of purchase, weekends, national holidays or UK bank holidays.

​

For example, if you purchase on Monday, your template will be with you by the end of Tuesday.

​

In the rare case that it will take longer, I will always let you know. Although rare, I cannot guarantee that installation will always be within 24 Hours.

​

Please note that the order time and date are based on UK, GMT time, not the customer's local time.

​

By purchasing my templates, you acknowledge and accept this installation timeframe and agree to notify me promptly if you have any concerns or issues with the installation process. Please be aware that I am not responsible for any issues that arise due to factors beyond my control.

​

Email Invitation Delivery

​

Your new Wix website requires email invitation to access. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have received the email invitation within 72 hours of purchase (3 days).  After 3 days, the invitation to accept your new website will expire. Once the window of acceptance has closed, an additional fee may be incurred for the re-transfer of your website template to your account.

 

If for any reason you have not received the email invitation within this time frame, you must contact me by email to request a new email invitation to be sent. If you have not accepted the email invitation and have not requested a new one within 30 days of purchase, I will consider the design delivered and you will not be entitled to a new email invitation request or refund.

Copyright

​

Sky Dore Design owns the copyright to the design and all files included with your template (excluding photos). You may not share the template design or any design materials provided within your purchase with anyone else. Templates (and any materials/code/files provided with your purchase) cannot be resold, shared, duplicated, or claimed as your own in any way.

​

If you are purchasing a Wix template for use in a client project or any project where you will be receiving compensation (e.g. money), you cannot claim the template as your own original work. You must provide credit to Sky Dore Design to avoid breaching copyright. I understand that my templates may be used in various projects, and I welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you. However, I ask that you respect my copyright and intellectual property. Proper credit can be given by adding a statement such as "Template by Sky Dore Design " in the footer or on the website's credits page with a live link to my website "www.skydoredesign.com".

Photos and videos used in my templates are always sourced from free stock photo websites such as Pexels, Unsplash and KaboomPics, and are mainly used for demonstration purposes. However, you may continue to use the free stock images if you wish, without required attribution from the original owners as per the usage license agreement stated on these websites.

​

Sky Dore Design reserves the right to use your completed website design in promotional material, including template showcase, for demonstration and marketing purposes. However, I will not disclose any confidential information or personal data without your express permission.

​

Template Updates

​

Template designs are sold as-is. I am not required to reinstall the template if a newer version or design is released. I cannot guarantee lifetime updates to the content if the template has been retired or removed from the store, or if it will no longer be updated.

​

Responsibility for Template

​

Once the template has been installed, it is no longer my responsibility and the service is considered complete and fulfilled. It is your responsibility to maintain your website and template moving forward.

​

You are responsible for upgrading your trial site with Wix within your trial period. If you let your free trial lapse, you must reactivate your site with Wix. I will not issue you a new website template if your trial expires, you will need to re-purchase another template/installation.

​

It is up to you to customize the template to fit your specific needs. I am not responsible for any changes, customisations, or additions made to the template after it has been installed. We are not required to reinstall the template if you change or delete any content or styles, it is your responsibility to maintain it.

​

You are responsible for all costs related to your Wix account. This includes, but is not limited to, the costs associated with domains, hosting, monthly plans, annual plans, email accounts, and any other services provided by Wix.

 

It is your responsibility to ensure that your account is up-to-date and that all associated costs are paid on time to avoid any interruptions or issues with your website. I am not responsible for any costs incurred as a result of your Wix account, and we cannot be held liable for any issues or interruptions to your website that may arise due to payment or billing issues with your Wix account.

Although I build on the Wix platform, we are not affiliated, sponsored, or endorsed by Wix. The term "Wix" is a trademark of Wix, Ltd. Our website and products are not associated with or endorsed by Wix, Ltd.

Demo Pages

​

You are responsible for preserving your chosen template’s demo pages. There is no one-click reinstallation of the template, it is your responsibility to manage any modifications or changes to your website's pages. I will provide duplicated, disabled demo pages at installation in case you need them later, but you are responsible for ensuring these remain preserved on your website.

​

Wix Updates

​

The Wix platform may change or update at any time, and this is out of my hands. I am not obliged to provide support for older templates built on older versions of Wix.

​

License

​

Each purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, single-seat license to the template. If you need to install the template more than once, multiple templates must be purchased.

​

​

To clarify, each Wix template can be used for one website only. If you want to use the template for a different person, business, or website, you must purchase another license by purchasing the template again.​

​

PROHIBITIONS

​

• You may not share, resell, duplicate, or exploit the template in whole or in part.

• You may not use, adapt, or represent our templates or designs as if they were created by you.

• You may not create any derivative work or offer competing offerings based on information contained in your purchase.

​

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

​

You may not violate my intellectual property rights, including copyright and trademark, as specified above.

​

Unauthorised Use

​

You understand that engaging in unauthorized use of our templates is considered theft, and we reserve the right to prosecute it as a civil and/or criminal offense.

​

Site Credit

​

You must place/retain a credit to Sky Dore Design with a live hyperlink to my website. You may not, in any circumstance, claim or promote my website template designs as your own work.

​

Proper credit can be given by adding a statement such as "Template/Design by Sky Dore Design" in the footer or on the website's credits page with a live hyperlink to our website.

​

If you have multiple creatives that you are giving credit to, you may move my live credit hyperlink from the footer to a Site Credits page, however, the Site Credits page must be linked to in the footer.

​

You may add your own name alongside our credit if you wish, as long as the hyperlink to the Sky Dore Design website is maintained and it is clear that the original design is not being claimed.

​

Requirements

​

It is your responsibility to reach and check each template description carefully for specific requirements.

​

All templates require a free Wix account to be installed. If you wish to remove the ads on your live site and connect a custom domain, a Wix premium subscription is required. You will also be required to upgrade your Wix plan for any template, including, but not limited to, templates that accept online payment or bookings.

​

While my templates are designed to be easy to use and customize, a basic level of understanding of the internet and how to use Wix is required. If you are unable to use Wix, it's up to you to learn how to use the platform before using my templates. 

​

Refunds & Cancellations

 

As digital products, my templates are not eligible for refunds or exchanges of any kind. I understand that this may be inconvenient, but I cannot make exceptions to this policy.

​

I encourage you to review the template demos, features, program requirements, and accompanying information carefully before making your purchase. This will help you to ensure that the template is a good fit for your needs and that you will be able to use it effectively.

​

Please note that I reserve the right to cancel an installation at any time. If I cancel your installation, I will refund the full amount of the Install service only. I will do my best to notify you as soon as possible if I need to cancel your installation.

​

Canva Templates

​

All Canva templates require access to Canva and basic Canva knowledge, including how to use the platform and make edits.

​

All copy and photography is for demo purposes only and are intended to be replaced.

​

My templates come with a one-time use license, in short, 1 template purchase = 1 project only. If you want to use the template for a different person/business, you must purchase another license.

​

Templates cannot be resold, shared, duplicated or claimed as your own.

​

Due to the nature of my digital products, I do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges for any and all payments made. Please review the template details, program requirements and information before making your purchase.
